The Brandon Artists Guild is pleased to announce Judy Albright as its Artist of the Month for July, 2026.

Albright, a pastel painter whose work focuses on still lifes, interiors, and landscapes will be celebrated with a free public presentation Friday, July 10, in the gallery at 7 Center St., Brandon.

The evening begins with refreshments at 6 p.m., followed by Albright's illustrated talk at 7 p.m. and a question-and-answer session with the audience. The event is free and open to all.

Albright will trace her personal and professional journey that began in a kindergarten classroom and led, through years of practice and teaching, to a full life as an artist and art educator. Drawing on 38 slides of her paintings, she will explore her evolving relationship with pastel and her deepening belief in art as a source of encouragement for all people.

Her still-life works find meaning in the unremarkable and the overlooked — objects and moments that, rendered in pastel, become quiet celebrations of daily life.

Albright describes her mission as "to celebrate the ordinary moments that make life extraordinary, and to offer encouragement through art-making."

Where: Brandon Artists Guild, 7 Center St., Brandon

When: Refreshments at 6 p.m.; talk and Q&A at 7 p.m.
