Received a complaint of a white truck that sped by an individual on Union Street while she was feeding her horses.

Received a complaint of a loud vehicle revving its engine in the area of Wheeler Road, along with individuals who may have been driving under the influence and parked in a pull-off on the road. No Brandon officers were on duty at the time, and the complaint was forwarded to the Vermont State Police to have a trooper check the area.

Responded to Lovers Lane for a report of a juvenile who had run away from home and was experiencing a mental health crisis. The juvenile was later located by one of the responding officers and returned to the residence safe and sound.

Brandon Police received a call regarding a burglary alarm activation at Otter Valley Union High School on Franklin Street. The building was later checked by an officer who determined that it appeared to be secure.

Received a complaint regarding a salesman going door-to-door on Sunset Drive attempting to sell Fidium Fiber internet service to area residents.

Suspicious Activity, Grove Street/Steinberg Road

Received a complaint that there were two young teenage boys hitchhiking in the area of Grove Street and Steinberg Road. The area was later checked by an officer and no one was located in the vicinity matching the description given by the complainant.

Information, McConnell Road

A woman called to complain that an individual had allegedly threatened her daughter. It was subsequently determined that the incident occurred in Rutland City and the complainant was referred to the Rutland City Police.

Assist - Public, Mulcahy Drive

Received a complaint regarding ongoing health and safety issues that were occurring at a housing authority apartment building in Park Village on Mulcahy Drive. An officer responded to the apartment building and confirmed numerous, potentially dangerous issues occurring. The Town of Brandon Health Officer and the State of Vermont Fire Marshal's Office were subsequently contacted regarding the issues, as the aforementioned issues were not a law enforcement matter.

Crash - Property damage only, Franklin Street/Union Street

Officers responded to the intersection of Franklin Street and Union Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving an SUV and a tractor-trailer. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were later determined to be drivable.

Violation of Court Order, North Street

Received an anonymous complaint of an individual on probation who might be violating his probation and/or court conditions. The subject's probation officer was notified regarding the possible violation.

Larceny - Other, Forest Dale Road

A chainsaw was reported as stolen from a residence on Forest Dale Road. An investigation was opened into the theft.

Information, Wheeler Road

Received a walk-in complaint at the front counter of the police station regarding an ongoing issue with a Wheeler Road resident driving past the complainant and her dog at what she believed was too close of a distance while they were walking on Lovers Lane. The Brandon Police would like to remind motorists to use care and caution when approaching walkers, bicyclists, and even horseback riders on town roadways and give them ample room and reduced speeds for everyone's safety.

Animal Incident, Conway Terrace

Received a call regarding an individual residing on Conway Terrace who wanted to surrender dogs that she could no longer take care of. The case was forwarded to the Town of Brandon Animal Control Officer.

Directed Patrol, Grove Street/Conant Square

Directed speed enforcement was conducted on Grove Street in the area of the Jiffy Mart/Brandon Florist Shoppe for ongoing complaints of speeders in the area. No speeding violations were observed.

Mental Health Issue, Grove Street

Officers responded to Champlain Farms on Grove Street for a report of a male inside the store screeching, lying on the counter, and acting out. The responding officers located the male at a nearby business and determined that he was having a mental health crisis. The officers de-escalated the individual and offered him mental health resources, but the subject refused any further assistance.
