TRO/FRO Service, Middle Road

Brandon Police were given a Relief From Abuse Order by the court to serve on an individual believed to live in Brandon. The subject was later located in New York and the order was served by the Essex County Sheriff's Office.

Suspicious Activity, Stone Mill Dam Road

Received an after-hours complaint regarding suspicious vehicles/males with hunting rifles in the area of Stone Mill Dam Road near posted property.

Domestic Disturbance, Mulcahy Drive

Responded to Mulcahy Drive for a report of a verbal domestic disturbance between a male and female in one of the apartment buildings. The responding officer was able to determine that the argument was only verbal in nature and that no crime/assault took place.

Alarm, Furnace Road

Responded to a residence on Furnace Road for a burglary alarm activation. The residence was later checked by the responding officer with nothing appearing to be out of order.

Drug Activity, Park Street

Received a complaint of a male and female smoking marijuana in public, near the Farmers Market on the Brandon Village Green, with the odor/smoke bothering the vendors. Both parties were warned and advised they could not smoke marijuana in a public place.

Crash - Property damage only, Long Swamp Road

Received a call regarding a late-reported minor motor vehicle crash that occurred the evening before on Long Swamp Road. The incident was documented for insurance purposes.

Crash - Property damage only, Union Street / Twin Oaks Drive

Responded to a single motor vehicle crash off the roadway with no injuries on Union Street by Twin Oaks Drive. The cause of the crash was later determined to be due to the operator using a handheld electronic device while operating the vehicle.

Fingerprints completed for education/employment purposes with the Boys and Girls Club.

Assist - Agency, Pearl Street

Officers assisted the Brandon Area Rescue Squad with a medical call for a lift assist on Pearl Street.

Violation of Court Order, McConnell Road

Received a complaint regarding an individual, currently under indictment for animal cruelty charges, who was violating their conditions of release regarding possession of new animals. Investigation opened and ongoing.

Citizen Dispute, Conant Square

Officers responded to a report of a disorderly male at Brandon Discount Beverage on Conant Square. The male was subsequently trespassed from the business.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Forest Dale Road

Received a complaint from a resident of Windsor, Vermont, reporting that a woman who resides in Brandon is refusing to give her car back.

June 9

Citizen Dispute, Union Street

Received a 911 call at the Walgreens on Union Street regarding a verbal altercation between a male, female, and child.

Animal Incident, Supermarket Drive

An officer responded to Hannaford Supermarket for a report of a dog left unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot.

Trespass, Center Street

Received a complaint regarding an individual who was violating a trespass notice by going into the Morningside Bakery on Center Street. The area was checked for the woman, who had left the business prior to the arrival of the responding officers, but she was not located.

Threats/Harassment, Conant Square

Officers responded to a threat and harassment call at Nifty Thrifty on Conant Square, where a female was threatening patrons and the business wanted her removed from the property. Officers arrived and ultimately moved the female along.

Retail Theft, Forest Dale Road

Received a call from the Junction Store and Deli regarding an individual who was caught on camera stealing.

Assist - Public, St. Mary's Cemetery

Officers were advised of a needle that was found on Forest Dale Road near St. Mary's Cemetery. Officers arrived in the area and observed the needle. The needle was then recovered and properly disposed of.

Received a complaint regarding possible forged federal tax documents.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Franklin Street

Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle complaint on Franklin Street for a vehicle operating erratically. The area north of Pittsford was checked along Route 7, but the vehicle was not located.
