Abandoned Vehicle, Park Street/Center Street

Received complaints regarding a vehicle with front-end damage and what appeared to be a broken front axle that was parked just in front of the crosswalk on Center Street near the Congregational Church. It was later determined that the vehicle had been involved in a multi-car crash that was investigated by the Vermont State Police on Center Street and that the vehicle was allowed to remain by the side of the road until the owners could arrange for a tow through their insurance company.

Landlord/Tenant Dispute, Country Club Road

A landlord/tenant dispute was reported at an apartment building at the intersection of Country Club Road and Franklin Street. The responding officer spoke with the landlord and/or complainant regarding their options for going through the eviction process to remove the tenant.

Burglary, Carver Street

A burglary was reported by a resident living on Carver Street.

An officer on patrol in the area of Park Street near the Brandon Village Green observed a vehicle parked in a newly designated "No parking zone" across from the Brandon Inn. A parking ticket (Warning) was issued to the owner.

Received a complaint from a Ballantine Road resident reporting that someone had fraudulently opened a Bank of America credit card in his name.

An officer on patrol observed two vehicles parked in a prohibited parking zone on Park Street next to the Brandon Village Green. Parking tickets were issued to both vehicles.

Directed speed enforcement was conducted in the area of Forest Dale Road and North Street for ongoing complaints regarding speeding vehicles. One warning was issued for speeding.

Traffic Stop, High Street/Park Street

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on High Street at Park Street for failure to display a license plate. A warning was issued to the operator.

Welfare Check, Country Club Road

Officers conducted a welfare check on an individual on Country Club Road who was overdue coming back from a doctor's appointment in White River Junction. The individual was later found to be safe and sound at his residence.

Directed traffic enforcement was conducted in the area of Park Street and Marble Street. No violations were observed.

Threats/Harassment, Wood Lane

Received a call regarding a domestic altercation between a girlfriend and boyfriend at a residence on Wood Lane. No Brandon officers were on duty at the time, so the Vermont State Police were assigned to the investigation.

Traffic Stop, Franklin Street/Nickerson Road

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Franklin Street at Nickerson Road for defective equipment. The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Traffic Stop, Franklin Street/Brandon Rescue

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Franklin Street near Brandon Area Rescue for an expired inspection sticker. A warning was issued to the operator.

Directed Patrol, Park Street

Officers conducted directed enforcement on Park Street. No violations were observed.

Juvenile Problem, Neshobe Circle

Officers were dispatched to the Neshobe Elementary School for a student who vacated the school building. Prior to the arrival of the responding officer, the student reportedly went back to campus and police assistance was no longer needed.

Threats/Harassment, Country Club Road

A tenant living on Country Club Road called the police department to report he was being harassed by a female he briefly dated. The complainant was advised of his options as to what he could do to seek relief in court regarding the individual.

Alarm, Neshobe Circle

Received an alarm activation at the Neshobe Elementary School.

Threats/Harassment, Frasier Road

An Amazon driver called 911 to report that she was being harassed by a male in the area of Frasier Road and Basin Road. It was later determined that the male was trying to tell the driver that the road she was trying to drive down was not passable and that it was private property.

Welfare Check, Country Club Road

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Country Club Road, per request of the Fair Haven Police, regarding information that they had received about a male who had texted someone at school making suicidal comments. The responding officers located the male safe and sound at the residence. It was later determined that the comments made by text were taken out of context and that the individual had no intention of harming himself.

A car was reported stolen from a residence on North Street. The vehicle was later recovered on Newton Road in Brandon.

Larceny - from Building, Van Cortland Road

A resident on Van Cortland Road reported that a family member stole their ladder while they were out of town on vacation. The ladder was later returned to the property by the family member.

Received a complaint regarding a subject living on Triangle Court who may be violating his conditions of release.
