David Martin sent us these photos of the solar array installed on the roof of the Brandon Police Department. The project was funded by a grant from Nifty Thrifty.
"The array was actually very easy to install under the skilled guidance of Tim Guiles, who has completed 20 solar projects in the Brandon area," Martin said.
Martin said volunteers worked sporadically over a few weeks, weather permitting, completing the installation June 16. In the 16 days since then, the array has generated 1800 kilowatt-hours of electricity, saving the town about $386 on its electricity bills.
