Almost everyone who lives in an older house has stories of finding bits and pieces from its past tucked into walls or attic spaces. While doing renovations on his 1850s house, John Peterson found a stash of material between two studs in the back of the house. From this inadvertent time capsule, the Petersons were able to piece together a window on the family that once lived in this house. Join John Peterson as he shows and discusses these finds and what they tell us about the material culture of the mid-1800s.
