How do publishers choose which submissions to accept? How can you make yours stand out from the crowd? Should you consider self-publishing? Get an insider perspective on these topics and more at this event with book editor Winifred Bird and writer Carey Bunker, who has self-published several books. Winifred Bird is an editor at Tuttle Publishing, a leading publisher of books about Asia, where she works on cookbooks, translated literature, and educational children’s books. She has translated over thirty books from Japanese to English and is the author of Eating Wild Japan: Tracking the Culture of Foraged Foods with a Guide to Plants and Recipes (Stone Bridge Press, 2021). She contributes to the Neshobe Current and previously worked as a freelance journalist covering the environment and architecture.
