Brandon Free Public Library is pleased to announce that the final stage of a multi-year transformative investment in the library’s facilities and community spaces will begin in early July.

Renovations on the library’s lower level and third floor are expected to be completed in December, creating enhanced spaces designed to better serve patrons for years to come. Lower-level improvements will include upgrades to the Book Sale area and a new welcoming and flexible space for events, workshops, and community activities. Third-floor renovations will create a new community meeting space for gatherings, educational programs, and public events.

The project continues under the leadership of Naylor & Breen Builders, supported by VIA of Middlebury providing architectural design services. This partnership has guided a successful library transformation throughout previous renovation phases.

“Reaching the final phase of this renovation is an exciting milestone,” said Library Director Molly Kennedy. “These improvements will strengthen the library’s role as a gathering place for learning, connection, and community engagement. We are grateful to our patrons, staff, donors, and community members for their support and patience throughout the renovation process.”

The library will continue to communicate updates regarding construction schedules, temporary service adjustments, and access to affected areas as work progresses.
