Received a complaint from a resident on Ballantine Drive regarding a possible violation of a trespass order and/or vandalism that occurred.

Received an alarm activation at the Lucky 7 Dispensary on Grove Street. The alarm was later determined to have been accidental.

Fingerprints completed for criminal justice purposes.

Domestic Disturbance, Steinberg Road

Received a 911 call regarding an active verbal domestic dispute between a male and female at a residence on Steinberg Road. Since no Brandon officers were on duty, the Vermont State Police were requested to respond to check on the parties. The complainant later called back, before an officer could respond, and advised that the parties had already left the residence.

Assist - Public, Brandon Central Park

An officer on patrol assisted a motorist who had stopped looking for help on Park Street near Brandon Central Park.

Fingerprints, Forest Dale Road

Brandon Police assisted the Pittsford Police Department in fingerprinting an applicant for a police officer position with their agency.

Motor vehicle stop conducted on Forest Dale Road for a defective equipment violation (headlight). A warning was issued to the operator.

Assist - Agency, Fox Road

Officers assisted Brandon Rescue with a medical call on Fox Road in which the female patient was in and out of consciousness and had an altered mental state. The patient was later transported to the hospital for treatment.

Traffic Stop, Supermarket Drive

A motor vehicle stop was conducted in the parking lot of Hannaford Supermarket on a vehicle that had a rear license plate that was faded and unreadable. The operator was subsequently issued a warning for the offense.

Directed Patrol, Newton Road

Directed speed enforcement was conducted on Newton Road for ongoing speeding violations. No violations were observed.

Assist - Agency, Conant Square

Brandon Police assisted a Rutland County Sheriff's unit with a motor vehicle stop on Conant Square. The driver was later found to have a criminally suspended driver's license and was issued a citation by the deputy.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Park Street and Marble Street for failure to use a turn signal. A warning was issued to the operator for the violation.

Traffic Stop, Park Street

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Park Street for speeding. The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Traffic Stop, Franklin Street

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Franklin Street for operating without a valid inspection sticker. The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Landlord/Tenant Dispute, Country Club Road

A landlord/tenant dispute was reported at an apartment building on Country Club Road.

Alarm, Court Drive

Officers received a call about an alarm activation at Neshobe Family Practice on Grove Street. The alarm was later determined to be false.

August 18

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Nickerson Road/Carver Street

Brandon Police were dispatched to the intersection of Nickerson Road and Carver Street for a report of a male on a motorcycle who had chased two females from the area of High Pond Road and smashed into the back of their car before leaving the scene. The incident is under active investigation and criminal charges will most likely result.

Assist - Agency, McConnell Road/Franklin Street

Brandon Police assisted the Pittsford Police Department with an intoxicated driver, who was reported to be all over the road and almost caused a head-on collision, after being observed and followed through Pittsford by an off-duty officer on Route 7. The vehicle was later stopped on McConnell Road in Brandon and the operator, after failing field sobriety tests, was placed under arrest by an officer from the Pittsford PD.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Union Street for speeding. A warning was issued to the operator.

Traffic Stop, Forest Dale Road

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Forest Dale Road at the intersection of Country Club Road for improper passing. A warning was issued to the operator.

Abandoned Vehicle, Wheeler Road/Marble Street

Brandon Police had a vehicle towed off of town-owned property on Wheeler Road that had been left and/or abandoned for three days.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Union Street

Brandon Police responded to the Union Street Market for a report of a male who had been turned away by an employee at the business due to the fact that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The male reportedly drove off in a truck with children inside. The responding officer checked the area but could not locate the vehicle.

Directed speed enforcement was conducted on Newton Road due to ongoing complaints about speeding in the area.

August 17

Landlord/Tenant Dispute, Country Club Road

Received a call regarding a landlord/tenant dispute at a residence on Country Club Road.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Forest Dale Road/Middle Road

Received a complaint of an erratic operator driving recklessly in the area of Forest Dale Road and Middle Road.

Traffic Stop, Franklin Street/Park Street

Motor vehicle stop conducted on Franklin Street at the intersection of Park Street for failure to stop at a stop sign. The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Assist - Agency, Grove Street

The Barre City Police Department contacted the Brandon Police Department about a 911 call they received from a female in which a male could be heard in the background stating that he was going to "slit her throat" before the line went dead. The female caller's phone number came back to an individual that reportedly resided in Brandon. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the wrong phone number was provided for the individual in question and that it was not the person that was reported to be living in Brandon.

Traffic Stop, North Street

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on North Street for defective equipment (taillight). The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, 1/2 Conant Square

An employee from Dunkin' Donuts in Conant Square called to report that someone went through their drive-through and was drinking an open can of alcohol. The area was checked by the responding officer, but the vehicle had already left.

Crash - Non-Reportable, Grove Street

Officers responded to a vehicle off the roadway on Grove Street. It was later determined that the operator of the vehicle fell asleep at the wheel while driving and drove off the roadway. The vehicle was later pulled back onto the traveled portion of the roadway by Thunder Towing.

Assist - Public, Hooker Road

An officer assisted a resident of Leicester regarding an ongoing civil issue that had a connection to an incident that occurred at the Hannaford Supermarket in Brandon.

Information, Conant Square

An officer took a complaint regarding two individuals arguing over "pronouns" on Conant Square, and the complainant was concerned that the other individual might end up damaging their car. The incident was documented for informational purposes.

Drug Activity, Carver Street/Syndicate Road

Officers received a report of used hypodermic needles found on Lower Carver Street near Willies Bow, that had been discarded in the area. The responding officer located the needles and properly disposed of them.
