Received an after coverage hours complaint regarding some juveniles revving dirt bike engines on Carver Street and causing a noise disturbance.

Missing Person, Case Street

Received an after coverage hours call regarding an autistic child who had taken off from a residence on Case Street and was missing. The incident was forwarded to the Vermont State Police-Rutland. The child was later found safe and sound.

Landlord/Tenant Dispute, McConnell Road

A male residing on McConnell Road called 911 requesting an ambulance to take him to the hospital because he no longer wanted to live in the house where he was. Because there was no medical and/or psychiatric emergency involved and because the individual only wanted a ride to leave his house, the subject was advised that he would have to make his own arrangements for transportation.

Fraud, Forest Dale Road

Brandon Police spoke with the victim of a credit card fraud that occurred through her Home Depot credit card and had been going on for several months. The incident was documented for the victim's bank's fraud department so that they could investigate the matter further.

Assist - Public, Furnace Road

Received a request for a public assist on Furnace Road regarding an issue over a motorcycle that was being kept from its owner over money allegedly owed for the vehicle. The issue was subsequently determined to be a civil matter and the motorcycle was later returned to the owner.

Traffic Stop, Conant Square/Pearl Street

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Conant Square at Park Street for a vehicle that had no registration plate affixed to the back of the car. The operator was later issued a ticket for having an unregistered motor vehicle on a public way and the vehicle was subsequently towed.

911 Hangup, Union Street

Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at Walgreens on Union Street. It was later determined that the call was made accidentally and there was no emergency.

Disabled Vehicle, Franklin Street/Park Street

Brandon Police responded to the area of Franklin Street and Park Street for a report of a disabled van broken down in the middle of the roadway. The responding officer checked the area, but the vehicle was gone prior to his arrival.

Crash - Property damage only, North Street/Newton Road

Officers responded to the area of North Street and Newton Road for a report of a bus that drove into a retaining wall due to a tractor-trailer unit passing by it at the same time and was now stuck in the roadway. The bus was subsequently moved back off the wall without issue. The bus sustained very minor damage to its side, and none of the passengers were injured.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Wheeler Road

Brandon Police responded to the area of Wheeler Road for a report of a pickup truck that had gone off of the roadway.

Found/Lost Property, Country Club Road

A found cell phone, which was located on Country Club Road, was turned into the Brandon Police Department.

Traffic Stop, Franklin Street

An officer on patrol in the area of Franklin Street observed two juvenile males riding electric dirt bikes in the area and conducted a motor vehicle stop on both operators for operating without proper registrations, insurance documents, and safety equipment.

An employee at Olivia's on Forest Dale Road called to report that the window on his car had been smashed.

A woman contacted the Brandon Police regarding ongoing harassment issues she was having with another female. The complainant was advised about the options that were available to her regarding the problem.

Lost/Found Property, Conant Square

Officers retrieved a lost phone on Conant Square. The phone was later returned to the owner.

Animal Incident, Rossiter Street

An officer spoke with a resident of Rossiter Street regarding a black bear that had recently been wandering around his neighborhood. The incident was noted for informational purposes, and the complainant was further advised to follow up with a Game Warden from Vermont Fish & Wildlife regarding the issue.

Assist - Public, Forest Dale Road

A male, who was having a mental health crisis and was not taking his medications, came to the Brandon Police Station requesting to speak with an officer about some possible assistance options that might be available.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Country Club Road and Park Street for defective equipment and an uninspected motor vehicle. The operator was issued a written warning for the violation(s).

Assist - Public, Brandon Central Park

An officer on patrol in the downtown Brandon area located a male in Brandon Central Park having a mental health crisis. The officer offered services to the subject, but the individual indicated that he was okay and left the scene without any further issues.

Vandalism, Short Swamp Road

An officer observed a stop sign had been spray-painted over at the intersection of Short Swamp Road and Long Swamp Road. The Brandon Highway Department was notified regarding the vandalism to request that it be replaced.

Traffic Hazard, Pearl Street

Received a complaint of a tractor-trailer unit that had disregarded the warning signs on Pearl Street and got stuck at the Sanderson Covered Bridge; in the process of turning around, it damaged the complainant's lawn.
