Officers requested assistance from the Middlebury Police Department with serving a protection order.

A resident of Mulcahy Drive called to report that he was having issues with some former neighbors who had shown up at his apartment building to visit their friends.

Citizen Dispute, Mulcahy Drive

Received a call from a resident of Mulcahy Drive claiming that some former tenants had come to his apartment building, threatened him, and allegedly cut him with a knife, causing scratch marks on his arm.

Welfare Check, Pearl Street/Conant Square

Received a call from a woman reporting that she encountered two bicyclists involved in some type of verbal altercation and that the female bicyclist mouthed "Help" to her, making the complainant feel as though she might be in trouble. No Brandon officers were on duty at the time, so that complaint was forwarded to the Vermont State Police for further investigation. The responding trooper later located the individual and was able to determine that she was all set and not in any danger.

Directed Patrol, Carver Street/Syndicate Road

Directed patrol conducted in the area of Carver Street and Syndicate Road for ongoing complaints of both criminal and motor vehicle violations. No illegal activity was observed.

July 30

TRO/FRO Service, Triangle Court

Received a request for the service of two Relief From Abuse Orders on a Brandon resident who was currently incarcerated and being held at a mental health facility in Berlin (Vermont). Attempts to serve the order(s) are ongoing at this time.

Fingerprints completed for education licensure.

Traffic Stop, Park Street/Marble Street

Motor vehicle stop conducted at the intersection of Park Street and Marble Street for failure to use a turn signal. A warning was issued to the operator.

Parking, Supermarket Drive

An officer responded to a parking complaint at Hannaford Supermarket regarding a vehicle with Pennsylvania license plates parking in a handicapped zone illegally. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle in question and determined that the vehicle had left prior to his arrival on scene.

Traffic Stop, Franklin Street

Motor vehicle stop conducted on Franklin Street for failure to display license plate(s). The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Larceny - Other, McConnell Road

Received a report of a stolen iPad. It was later determined that the theft occurred in the City of Rutland and the complainant was referred to the Rutland City Police Department to report the incident.

July 28

Traffic Stop, Marble Street

Motor vehicle stop conducted at the intersection of Marble Street and Park Street for failure to yield to oncoming traffic. The operator was issued a warning for the violation.

Traffic Stop, Park Street/Franklin Street

Motor vehicle stop conducted at the intersection of Park Street and Franklin Street for an uninspected motor vehicle. A warning was issued to the operator.

Threats/Harassment, Town Farm Road

Received a complaint of two juveniles harassing some young females on their bicycles on Town Farm Road. The complaint was forwarded to the Addison County Sheriff's Department as the two subjects had headed into the Town of Leicester. The subjects were not located.

911 Hang-up, Champlain Street

Responded to a 911 hang-up on Champlain Street. Officers were able to determine that a juvenile had accidentally called 911 while they were mowing the lawn and that there was no emergency.

Disabled Vehicle, Bronto Lane

Responded to a report of a disabled vehicle in the area of Bronto Lane. The vehicle was later located and the operator advised that they did not need any assistance and were in the process of changing a flat tire.

July 27

Fraud, Arnold District Road

Brandon Police were contacted by a parent regarding the illegal use of her credit card and Amazon account by her teenage daughter to make fraudulent purchases online.

Assist - Public, Franklin Street

Received a complaint from WD Auto Repair on Franklin Street regarding a former employee that they were having issues with.

Welfare Check, Maple Street

A welfare check was conducted on a young child at a residence on Maple Street regarding possible unhealthy living conditions reported at the home.
