Received a complaint of a minor operating a motor vehicle up and down North Conant Drive. Due to the fact that no officers were on duty at the time, the incident was logged for informational purposes.

Assist - Agency, Grove Street
Brandon Police served a Relief from Abuse Order on an individual in the front lobby of the police station on behalf of the Vergennes Police Department.

Alarm, Forest Dale Road
An alarm activation was reported at a municipal building on Forest Dale Road.
Fingerprints, Forest Dale Road
Fingerprints completed for school chaperones.
Crash - Non-Reportable, Grove Street
Received a report of a vehicle that had its windshield damaged by a passing truck on Grove Street. The incident was documented for insurance purposes.
Citizen Dispute, Forest Dale Road
Received a complaint about an individual trespassing at an apartment building and trying to sell drugs to the tenants on Forest Dale Road.
Crash - Non-Reportable, Neshobe Circle
Officers responded to a non-reportable minor motor vehicle crash in the Neshobe Elementary School parking lot. Both parties were assisted in exchanging insurance information.
May 20
Juvenile Problem, Franklin Street
Received a call from the Otter Valley Union High School regarding a female student who may have been consuming alcohol the night before and was now inside the school. The matter was subsequently handled by the school administration internally. DCF was notified regarding the incident by the school.
Attempt to Locate, Rossiter Street
Officers located and arrested a wanted individual with an active warrant for their arrest on Rossiter Street. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and then later transported to the Rutland County Court for arraignment.
May 19
Suspicious Activity, Grove Street
Received a call for a report of four gun shots in the area of Brandon Lumber on Grove Street. Because no Brandon officers were on duty at the time, the Vermont State Police were asked to respond to the area to investigate.
Theft of Services, Franklin Street
Received a complaint from WD Auto Repair on Franklin Street regarding a customer who did not pay for parts/service on her vehicle.
Animal Incident, Court Street
Officers responded to an animal incident on Court Street in which someone reported a dog being left unattended in a vehicle. The responding officer, who located the owner of the dog, was able to determine that the dog was okay, had water, and that the windows were down for ventilation.
Traffic Stop, Marble Street / Park Street
A motor vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Marble Street and Park Street for failure to display a license plate. The operator was issued a warning for the violation.
Traffic Stop, Forest Dale Road
A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Forest Dale Road on a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. The vehicle was later determined to have an expired registration and the operator did not have proof of insurance with them. A ticket was issued to the operator for having an expired registration.
May 18
Motor Vehicle Complaint, Park Street
Received a complaint of an ATV speeding up and down Park Street. No Brandon Police officers were on duty at the time to respond to the complaint.
Untimely Death, Union Street
Responded to a residence on Union Street to conduct a welfare check on an individual who had not been heard from by his neighbors for over a week. The responding officers checked the residence and determined that the male had passed away in his home. An investigation was opened by the Brandon Police Department and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
Animal Incident, Union Street
Received a complaint regarding a dog that had been left in a parked vehicle at the Walgreens on Union Street.
Threats/Harassment, Grove Street
Received a complaint from a female who was being harassed and/or threatened by a friend of her ex-boyfriend, who is currently incarcerated in New York State.
Stolen Vehicle, Country Club Road / Forest Dale Road
Received a complaint of a stolen motor vehicle taken from the area of Country Club Road and Forest Dale Road. The vehicle was later recovered on Mulcahy Drive. Investigation ongoing.
Suspicious Activity, Town Farm Road
Received a call regarding a suspicious female and male who showed up on the front doorstep of a resident on Town Farm Road.
