Traffic Stop, Park Street/High Street

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Park Street for speeding. A warning was issued to the operator.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Grove Street/Champlain Street

An officer on patrol in the area of Grove Street near the intersection of Champlain Street observed a juvenile on an electric dirt bike and conducted a motor vehicle stop.

Parking, Park Street/Brandon Village Green

An officer on patrol observed three vehicles parked in a prohibited parking area on Park Street in front of the Brandon Village Green. Parking violations were issued to all three vehicles.

Suspicious Activity, Steinberg Road

Received a 911 call from the area of Steinberg Road reporting that a woman had just run out of an apartment, yelled that she had been sexually assaulted, and that there were illegal drugs in the residence. It was also reported that the male who had allegedly sexually assaulted the female was violating a restraining order against the female, that a neighbor was trying to prevent the male from chasing the alleged victim, and that there were reports that firearms may be involved in the incident. Due to the fact that no Brandon officers were on duty at the time of the call, the Vermont State Police were dispatched to the area to investigate the complaint.

Violation of Court Order, Barlow Avenue

A possible violation of conditions of release was reported on Barlow Avenue.

Juvenile Problem, Conant Square

Received a complaint of a child riding an electric bike in the parking lot of the Dunkin' Donuts and also riding in the roadway in the Conant Square area.

Motor Vehicle Complaint, Conant Square

Received a call regarding an erratic operator in Conant Square that the complainant believed was intoxicated. The information was forwarded to the Vermont State Police as there were no Brandon officers on duty at the time.

Information, Forest Dale Road

Information was provided to the Brandon Police Department regarding an individual in Brandon who was driving without a valid driver's license and switching license plates on his vehicle.

Noise Disturbance, Church Street

A report was made concerning dogs barking during the late morning hours on Church Street.

October 1

Assist - Agency, Prospect Street

An officer assisted EMTs from Brandon Area Rescue with a patient lift assist on Prospect Street.

Assault - Simple, Franklin Street

An assault between students, which occurred at Otter Valley Union High School on Franklin Street, was reported to the Brandon Police. The matter is currently under investigation.

Assist - Agency, Forest Dale Road

The Brandon Police assisted a background investigator from the U.S. Army with a background investigation on an individual enlisting in the armed services.

Assist - Public, Forest Dale Road

Officers assisted an individual on Pine Tree Drive with obtaining transportation back to his residence.

Traffic Hazard, Franklin Street/Brandon Fire Department

Officers removed a traffic hazard from the roadway in the area of the Brandon Fire Department on Franklin Street.

Juvenile Problem, West Seminary Street

An officer on patrol stopped a juvenile on an electric dirt bike on West Seminary Street.

Assist - Public, Pine Tree Drive

Officers assisted an individual with unlocking their vehicle on Pine Tree Drive.

Larceny - from Motor Vehicle, Union Street

Officers responded to a report of a catalytic converter theft on Union Street.

Noise Disturbance, Church Street

A noise disturbance was reported on Church Street regarding two dogs that were barking during the early morning hours.

Fingerprints, Forest Dale Road

Fingerprints conducted for volunteer coaching.

Assist - Other, Brookdale Street

Received information regarding a possible incident of child abuse occurring on Brookdale Road. The matter is under review and/or investigation at this time.

Juvenile Problem, Grove Street

A complaint was made regarding a juvenile riding an electric motorcycle on Grove Street who drove out in front of a passing vehicle and almost struck it.

September 28

Juvenile Problem, Franklin Street

The Otter Valley Union High School called the police department to report that two students had been involved in a fistfight.

VIN Verification, North Street

Officers conducted a VIN verification on a trailer on North Street.

Larceny - Other, U.S. Route 7

A complaint was made to the Brandon Police Department regarding the fraudulent use of a credit card through CashApp and Venmo. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the incident did not occur in Brandon, but rather in the Town of Leicester. The complainant was referred to the Vermont State Police-New Haven to report the matter for investigation.
