Blue skies and a mountain backdrop made for a beautiful day at Estabrook Park in Brandon on Saturday, Aug. 1, as cars, motorcycles, and spectators gathered for the For the Luv of Dogs Car Show, a benefit for the Rutland County Humane Society.
The day included plenty of fun beyond admiring the vehicles. In the car “limbo” contest, participants piled onto cars to weigh them down as drivers tried to squeeze beneath an increasingly low bar. Motorcyclists took on a very different challenge in what the announcer dubbed the “fastest slow race in history,” attempting to cover a short distance as slowly as possible without putting a foot down.
The Neshobe Current stopped by for just a small part of the day. Enjoy a glimpse of the fun in these photos and videos.
