Simon Says officially opened its doors Saturday, Oct. 3, at 21 Center St.

Nestled next to Wisewell Goods, Simon Says offers toys, art kits, LEGO, games, puzzles, science kits, jewelry, unicorns, baby toys, hair clips, and journals.

The store will also carry resale clothing from newborn to size 10, purchased from local families and offered at affordable prices. “Kids grow out of clothes and footwear so quickly, it is really helpful for families to have a local spot for affordable, good-quality used clothing,” owner Maura Donnelly said in a press release.

Kids are invited to drop by anytime to sign up for the Simon Says Birthday Club, which includes $5 of “birthday bucks” and the chance to create a personalized wish list that friends and family can access when shopping for presents.

A picture-perfect day for Harvest Fest

Sunshine, blue skies, and brilliant fall color made for a picture-perfect Harvest Fest at Estabrook Field on Sunday.

Families turned out to enjoy local vendors and plenty of fall fun, from hay rides and pony rides to bouncy houses and a petting zoo. Thanks to a donation from Nifty Thrifty, everyone could also make their own “leaf person” to take home at no cost.

Organizer Colleen Wright invited local nonprofit groups to set up tables free of charge, helping make the event a place for community organizations and residents to connect.
